  • Is Mental Math program any different and better than other preschool programs for mental development?

A Mental math program is much better than a regular preschool developmental program in many ways.

    • Mental math program focuses on both hemispheres of the child’s brain: left and right, whereas regular programs concentrate on left hemisphere more.
    • Improved left brain with regular developmental programs becomes skillful at analytical operations, language, mathematics, numbers, etc. With mental math programs the concentration is divided equally. When both sides of the brains develop, a child gains maximum confident, increased concentration levels, improved attentiveness and overall better performance during educational, practical and day-to-day life.

Our trained students show great boosts in speeds when it comes to learning foreign languages.

  • Is there a minimum age for child to enroll in your program?

The most recommended age at which a child can start learning mental math is 4 years. By this time a child should be able to count up to 10. For a student to enroll in our program he/she has to be able to count easily up to 10.

  • Will it improve my child’s result and grades at school?

While it may seem from the name “Mental Math” that the program teaches students how to do mathematics, the main scope of the program is much bigger. With mental math we work on improving a child’s innate mental abilities that are not useful only in education but throughout their lives. Improved concentration, attentiveness, problem solving skills, observation, etc. are some of the abilities that this program is designed to polish. While a more improved and developed brain can have impact on the overall performance of a child at school, it is not primarily designed to improve their grades.

  • How Are the Classes Held? What happens in the classroom?

Our classes are conducted in a fun filled environment. We have done away with the conventional and boring ways of teaching using a pencil and paper. Our children learn through games using tablets, laptops and desktop computers. The games are designed to make children use not only their logical and analytical parts of the brain, but the visualization part too. The end result is improved memory, focus, attentiveness, etc.

  • How much time does it take for the program to finish?

We don’t have a cookie-cutter program where teachers are only concerned with finishing the course before the end of session. The beauty of our program is that we let our students learn at their own speed. This results in effective learning and maximum impact on their minds. Ideally, a child will complete the course in two and a half or three years. During this period the child will attend one class at Tinker Thinkers Learning Center once every week and dedicated at least 20 minutes of their time to homework every day. Our students don’t mind the home work because it is also fun.

  • How many children are in each group? Does every child get proper attention from the teacher?

We take our job seriously and settle for no compromise on the quality of education. Our classes can have 30 to 35 students each with up to 3 teachers dedicated to each class to make sure every child gets proper attention. Not to mention our students are pretty cooperative in the classrooms since our program is fun to learn, and so they never feel bored during the entire duration of the program.

  • Can a child complete the program studying at home?

Absolutely! We have designed our program with modern learning in mind. With our carefully designed computer simulator your child can learn at home just like he/she would in the class. The recommended time for the child to spend learning is 20 minutes every day.

  • Can adults enroll in your mental math program?

Of course you can. Using the same computer simulator program, you can accompany your child during the learning process and benefit from it. This technique has proven to be a great cure for dementia and Alzheimer’s in adults and old ones in many parts of the world including America and Asia. While the true scope of the program applies to children and young ones, by learning mental math you will be able to appreciate and experience how this program really helps children.
